First-aid measures

Eye contact: Holding the eyelids apart, flush eyes promptly with copious flowing water for at least 20 minutes. Get medical attention immediately.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with mild soap and plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Wash clothing

before re-use. Get medical attention if irritation occurs and persists.

Inhalation: In case of inhalation, remove person to fresh air. Keep him quiet and warm. Apply artificial respiration if necessary and get medical

attention immediately.

Ingestion: If swallowed, wash mouth thoroughly with plenty of water. Get medical attention immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, alcohol foam or polymer foam.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: When heated to decomposition, may release poisonous and corrosive fumes of CO, CO2 and HBr.

Advice for fire-fighters: Cool containers with water spray. In closed stores, provide fire-fighters with selfcontained breathing apparatus in positive

pressure mode.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus, rubber boots and heavy rubber

gloves.

Environmental precautions: Avoid access to streams, lakes or ponds.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: Absorb on sand or vermiculite and place in closed container for disposal. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Keep containers tightly closed. Avoid bodily contact.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in a dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible materials: Strong bases,

Strong oxidants.

Specific end use(s): No specific requirements.
