The test item is a complex reaction product of unknown and variable composition. The Log Pow measured are ranged from 4.54 to 4.64. 100% of the components of this UVCB have Log Pow values in this range.

Additional information

The octanol/water partition coefficient of Tricyclodecane dimethanol, esters with acrylic acid was obtained with an experimental study performed in accordance with OECD testing 117 guideline and GLP requirements.

Since the test item is present as a complex reaction product of unknown and variable composition, a range of octanol/water partition coefficient values (4.54 to 4.64) was determined at pH 7.3. 100% of the components of this UVCB have Log Pow values in this range.

The chromatogram obtained by HPLC showed 3 peaks with representing each between 32.0% and 35.1% of the total area under the curve and together 100% of all the UVCB. Therefore, the highest log value (4.64) in this range was used for chemical safety assessment (CSA). The highest value was considered as a worst-case value, increase of n-octanol/water partition coefficient value leading to a significant increase of Predicted Environmental Concentration in sediments and soil.
