The key study for reproductive toxicity is the only study available for this endpoint. It is a reliable OECD 422 Combined Repeat Dose Toxicity and Screening Study for Reproductive and Developmental Toxicity, carried out in compliance with GLP.


Short description of key information:
No treatment-related effects were observed in any of the reproductive parameters evaluated in an oral OECD 422 study (Gerspach et al., 2005) in rats. Based on the results of this screening study, the NOAEL for reproductive toxicity of 3-(triethoxysilyl)propiononitrile in the rat via oral dosing was determined to be equal to or greater than 1000 mg/kg bw/day.
