Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic algae, no toxic effects occur in the range of water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a guideline study of the test substance on the green algae Desmosdesmus subspicatus, no toxic effects occured at the highest test concentration of nominally 500 mg/L (DIN 38412 L9, Noack 09827, 1989, Cremophor was used as a vehicle). It can be assumed that the maximum water soluble amount of the test substance (< 0.1 mg/L according BASF AG, BRU 91.323, 1991) was dissolved in the test solutions. Therefore, the test substance is considered not to be harmful to aquatic algae.
