Description of key information

A 29 day oral toxicity study was performed in rats. The animals were exposed to 0, 62.5, 250 and 1000 mg/kg bw/d. At 1000 mg/kg/d, males exhibited decreased testes and epididymides that correlated with microscopical indications of impaired spermatogenesis.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The repeated dose toxicity of Triethylene glycol dimethyl ether was investigated according to OECD 407. NOAEL of 250 mg/kg/d was obtained. No classification with respect to the endpoint repeated dose toxicity is justified.
