Description of key information

The adsorption to soil and sludge was tested using the HPLC method and in accordance with EC method C.19 and OECD guideline 121, the outcome indicates that the test substance does not sorb strongly to soil and sludge and can be regarded as mobile.

Additional information

A key study was performed with the aim to determinate of the adsorption coefficient of the test item FAT 40045/Z by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method according to EC method C.19 and OECD guideline 121.The analysis was performed on an analytical columnpacked with a commercially available cyanopropyl solid phase containing lipophilic and polar moieties. A moderately polar stationary phase based on a silica matrix was used (Nucleodur 100-5 CN-RP).A 55/45 (v/v) methanol watermixture was used as mobile phaseand the column temperature was 25 °C.

Based on the elution profile the adsorption coefficient (log Koc) was found to be <1.5 at 25 °C.
