Description of key information

The octanol-water partition coefficient of alpha-Terpinyl Acetate was determined in a study according to OECD Guideline 117 (HPLC method). The log Kow values of the different isomers at 30 °C ranged from 4.3 to 4.5 with an average of 4.4.

Additional information

In addition to the key study, the octanol-water partition coefficients of 57 terpenoids including alpha-Terpinyl Acetate were determined using HPLC (Griffin et al., 1999). This study gave a non-assignable but consistent log Kow value of 3.96.
