Description of key information

The dissociation of di C8-C10, branched, C9 rich, alkylnaphthalene sulfonic acid was evaluated with the SPARC model. This model, developed by the US EPA (SPARC September 2009 release w4.5.1522-s4.5.1522), has been validated and has a high degree of accuracy. The substance DNNSA is a strong acid and dissociation occurs in the sulfonate moiety at less than pH 1. The model calculated pKa is 0.56.
