Additional information

Based on the available information the substance can be considered as highly mobile in soil (according to McCall classification scheme). Supporting information by read-across from 1H-Benzotriazole suggest that the sorption behaviour of sodium benzotriazolate is also affected by different factors. However, increasing sorption was observed with gradient organic carbon fraction.

Assuming that occurence of 1H-Benzotriazole and benzotriazolate is dependent from the pH value of the surrounding environment observations from field studies regarding 1H-Benzotriazole are considered to be valid for the assessment of sodium benzotriazolate, too. In line with these findings soil and water are identified as major compartments of concern.
