Conclusions:
Under the test conditions, Bis(2,4-dichloro-5-nitrophenyl) carbonate is not a skin sensitiser in the mouse local lymph node assay.
Executive summary:

In a mouse local lymph node assay performed in compliance with the GLP, Bis(2,4-dichloro-5-nitrophenyl) carbonate (named as di(2,4-dichloro 5-nitrophenyl) carbonate (DDNC))has no skin sensitisation potential. It is therefore not classified for skin sensitisation according to the Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 and the Directive 67/548/EEC according to this test.

However 2 human cases with skin sensitisation after contact with Bis(2,4-dichloro-5-nitrophenyl) carbonate

were reported. Therefore the submitted substance hould be classified as Skin sens. 1 (H317) according to the Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP) and as Xi, R43 according to the Directive 67/548/EEC.
