Administrative data

flash point of flammable liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the flash point is only relevant to liquids and low melting point solids
the study does not need to be conducted because decomposition occurred during the melting point study
Justification for type of information:
tetrasodium hydrogen 2-phosphonobutane-1,2,4-tricarboxyliate is a solid which is also marketed in an aqueous solution. The substance itself has a vapour pressure of 2.4e-8 Pa and is thus not volatile. Therefore, neither for the anhydrous solid form nor the aqueous solution (which contains no other volatile compounds than water) a flash point needs to be determined.
