Description of key information

NOEC (19d) = 100 mg/kg soil dw. for seedling emergence and growth of Lepidum sativum, Brassica alba and Triticum aestivum

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Long-term EC10, LC10 or NOEC for terrestrial plants:
100 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

As no study on the toxicity to terrestrial plant is available for Alcohols, C16-18 (even numbered) and C18 unsaturated, propoxylated, < 2.5 (CAS 70955-07-6), a read-across is prepared to a study with a similar substance (alcohol ethoxylates C12-14, 2EO, CAS 68439-50-9). The study was carried out as limit test in accordance to OECD guideline 208 and GLP (Scholz, 1994). No effects were observed for seedling emergence and growth of the three test species at the test item concentration of 100 mg/kg soil dw.
