Description of key information

The adsorption/desorption study is not required as the test substance has a low log Pow. From the calculated Henry's law constant, it can be concluded that the test substance will be predominantly in the water phase.

Additional information

According to the REACH regulation (Annex VIII, column 2 adaptation), the adsorption/desorption study does not need to be conducted if the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient (log Pow = -1.13).

The distribution between water and air can be predicted based on Henry's law constant. The calculated values ranged between 2.93E-06 and 3.2E-06 Pa.m3/mol at 25°C. From these calculated values, it can be concluded that the test substance will predominantly be in the water phase.
