Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Under the test conditions, the particle size distribution of the tested reference batch of the substance was found to be :
- proportion of the tested sample having an inhalable particle size <100 µm equal to 94%
- proportion of the tested sample having a thoracic particle size <10.0 µm equal to 1.77%
- proportion of the tested sample having a respirable particle size <5.5 µm equal to 0.255%.
Too few particles were of a size less than 10.0 µm to allow accurate assessment of the mass median aerodynamic diameter.

Additional information

A study was performed to determine the partition size distribution of the test substance according to OECD Guideline 110. The test was performed using a Marple Miller Cascade Impactor. Sampling for the cascade impactor determinations was performed by rolling the test substance container for approximately 10 minutes then taking samples from the top, middle and bottom (Fox and White, 2012).
