Description of key information

The vapor pressure of FC-40 is 0.36 mm Hg (0.048 kPa) at 20 °C.
The vapor pressure of FC-43 is 0.02 mm Hg (2.7 Pa) at 20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The vapor pressure of FC-40 was evaluated in two studies. The key study was conducted in accordance with ASTM E1719-97 but has deviations from OECD TG 104 and is not GLP compliant. Therefore, this study is considered reliable with restrictions. In another study, vapor pressure was determined to be 2.6 mm Hg (0.35 kPa) at 20 °C. The second study also follows ASTM E1719-97, but the key study is the preferred value due to how recently the studies were performed.

The FC-43 study was conducted in accordance with ASTM E1719-97 but has deviations from OECD TG 104 and is not GLP compliant. Therefore, this study is considered reliable with restrictions.
