Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

One chronic earthworm test has been performed according to OECD 222 with tallow based diamine ethoxylate (CAS No 90367-27-4) resulting in a NOEC of 500 mg/kg dw. Read across of this result to other diamine ethoxylates is considered justified as these substances are part of the same category, have a similar carbon chain distribution. Further justification for read across is provided in chapter 13 of IUCLID.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Long-term EC10, LC10 or NOEC for soil macroorganisms:
500 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

No effects observed in a chronic terrestrial test up to 500 mg/kg dw. However, at 1000 mg/kg soil dry weight the reproduction of the adult earthworms was statistically significantly reduced compared to the control.
