Description of key information

The logKow values of all of the major componments of Reaction mass of 1,3-Propanediol, 2-(hydroxymethyl)-2-[(methoxymethoxy)methyl]- and 1,3-dioxane-5,5-dimethanol are reported to be <3 (see Section 4.7, partition coefficient).  The logKow is below the trigger of 3 therefore the Reaction mass of 1,3-Propanediol, 2-(hydroxymethyl)-2-[(methoxymethoxy)methyl]- and 1,3-dioxane-5,5-dimethanol  is not expected to bioaccumulate in living organisms. According to Column 2 of Annex IX of the REACH regulation,  no bioaccumulation study is required if the logKow is below the trigger of 3.
