PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The Reaction mass is stable to hydrolysis with an estimated half-life of greater than one year and it is not readily biodegradable and therefore has potential to persist (potentially vP/P).

The logKow values of all of the major components of the Reaction mass are reported to be <3. Therefore, the Reaction mass has no potential to bioaccumulate (not B).

The NOEC (72 h) for algae growth rate inhibition for the substance is 100 mg/L (OECD 201). The substance does not meet the criteria for classification as carcinogenic (category 1A or 1B), germ cell mutagenic (category 1A or 1B), or toxic for reproduction (category 1A, 1B or 2) according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008. The substance does not meet the criteria for classification as specific target organ toxicity after repeated exposure (STOT RE category 1 or 2) according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008. Therefore, the Reaction mass is not T.
