Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In Annex XI of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, it is laid down that there may be sufficient weight of evidence from several independent sources of information leading to the assumption/conclusion that a substance has or has not a particular dangerous property, while the information from each single source alone is regarded insufficient to support this notion. in this case, the substance has a low potential for adsorption to soil particles and it has no bioaccumulative properties based on the logKow clearly below 3. Based on these data, binding to sewage sludge is unlikely and as a consequence a transfer to the soil compartment is not expected. Additionally, the lack of any harmful effects in aquatic tests on all three trophic levels at concentrations below the solubility in water indicate a low hazardous potential of the test substance towards soil organisms. Finally, according to REACH Annex X column 2, the study does not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. The substance is not applied directly to soil and is not expected to be transferred indirectly to soil in significant quantity. Therefore, the risk to soil organisms is considered negligible and no further tests on terrestrial organisms are provided.
