During the cooling phase down to -90 °C no thermal effects could be observed. In the subsequent heatingphase a distinct endothermic effect was observed in the temperature range of -80 to -70 °C, which can be assigned to the melting of the test item. As the onset temperatures in both tests deviate by more than 0.5 K from their mean value of 76.34 °C, the test item has a melting range of -75 to -77 °C. During the heating phase a distinct endothermic effect was observed in the temperature range of 180 – 250 °C, which can be assigned to the boiling of the test item. For the correction of the boiling temperature to standard pressure the test item was assigned to chemical group 3 (e.g. amines). According to appendix 8.1 a correction value φ = 5.25 was used for the temperature of 230 °C. The lowest measured onset temperature is corrected to the standard pressure to be 230.13 °C and the highest onset temperature to be 230.26 °C. As the corrected onset temperatures in both tests deviate by less than 0.5 K from their mean value of 230.20 °C, the test item has a boiling point of 230.2 °C.

Conclusions:
The boiling point of the test item was determined to be 230.2 °C at an ambient pressure of 1013 hPa.
Executive summary:

The boiling point of the test item was determined according to OECD test guideline 103 and Regulation EC No. 440/2008, Method A.2. Under ambient conditions, the test item is liquid. The tests were started at ambient temperature. The temperature was first decreased to -90 °C at a constant cooling rate of 0.25 K/min. After 30 min at -90 °C the temperature was increased up to 500 °C at a constant heating rate of 10 K/min. During the cooling phase down to -90 °C no thermal effects could be observed. In the subsequent heating phase a distinct endothermic effect was observed in the temperature range of -80 to -70 °C, which can be assigned to the melting of the test item. The endothermic effect in the temperature range of 180 – 250 °C was ascribed to the boiling point. The boiling point determined by DSC is 230.2 °C at an ambient pressure of 1013 hPa.
