After inhalation: Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints.

After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.

After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then consult a doctor.

After swallowing: Call for a doctor immediately.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: No further relevant information available.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: No further relevant information available.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing agents: Foam, Carbon dioxide, Fire-extinguishing powder

For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water with full jet

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

In case of fire, the following can be released: Hydrocarbons, Carbon monoxide (CO), silicon dioxide

Advice for firefighters

Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Wear fully protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.

Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.

Ensure adequate ventilation

Environmental precautions:

Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil.

Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust).

Dispose contaminated material as waste according to item 13.

Reference to other sections

See Section 7 for information on safe handling.

See Section 8 for information on personal protection equipment.

See Section 13 for disposal information.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling

Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.

Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

Prevent formation of aerosols.

Information about fire - and explosion protection:

Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire. see chapter 5. Material is combustible. Fumes can combine with air to form an explosive mixture. Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke. Protect against electrostatic charges. The requirements of explosion protection must be observed.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Storage:

Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Ensure adequate ventilation

Information about storage in one common storage facility: Do not store with materials which release oxygen.

Further information about storage conditions: Keep container tightly sealed. Store in dry conditions. Store under inert gas. Protect from heat and direct sunlight.

Recommended storage temperature: 10-30 °C

Specific end use(s): No further relevant information available.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Additional information about design of technical facilities: Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

Control parameters

Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: 67-63-0 propan-2-ol (≤ 5.0%), WEL Short-term value: 1250 mg/m^3, 500 ppm; Long-term value: 999 mg/m^3, 400 ppm

Additional information: The lists valid during the making were used as basis.

Exposure controls

Personal protective equipment:

General protective and hygienic measures: Do not eat or drink while working. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.

Respiratory protection: Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol. Filter P3

Protection of hands: Protective gloves. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.

Material of gloves: The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. As the product is a preparation of several substances, the resistance of the glove material cannot be calculated in advance and has therefore to be checked prior to the application.

Penetration time of glove material: The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

For the permanent contact of a maximum of 15 minutes gloves made of the following materials are suitable: Fluorocarbon rubber (Viton)

Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles.

Body protection: Protective work clothing

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity

Chemical stability

Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: Can form explosive mixtures in air if heated above flash point and/or when sprayed or atomised.

Conditions to avoid No further relevant information available.

Incompatible materials: Store away from flammable substances.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods

Recommendation: Product or residue of product should be recycled because of precious metal content (national regulations must be observed). Material can be returned to supplier or other recycling companies. If residues of products are classified as waste from administrative bodies or recycling of precious metal is not intended use the legal requirements to assign the European Waste Code (depending on branche of industry and industrial process).

Uncleaned packaging:

Recommendation: Uncleaned or with product residues contaminated packing should be treated like the product itself. Packages, which do not contain product residues, should be recycled; if there does not exist a collecting system, packages can be treated as rubbish.
