Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on the results of a ready biodegradability study with the substance, a NOEC of 20 mg/L is established for the toxicity to STP microorganisms.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10 or NOEC for microorganisms:
20 mg/L

Additional information

In accordance with ECHA guidance (Chapter R.7b: Endpoint specific guidance, Version 4.0, 2017), absence of microbial toxicity can often be inferred from biodegradation studies. Therefore, if the substance does not inhibit the degradation of a procedural control at a certain concentration, this concentration can be used as a NOEC value. Based on a ready biodegradability study with the substance, a NOEC of 20 mg/L can be established, since at this concentration it was determined that the substance does not inhibit microbial activity. Moreover, the substance was determined to be readily biodegradable in this study, also demonstrating that the substance should not be considered toxic to STP microorganisms at the used concentration.
