Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
from 6 September 2010 to 9 September 2010
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Due to the high water solubility of the test substance and the already attained precision the water solubility was only estimated visually and not
determined by the full flask method. The experimental estimation was performed with solutions of the test substance in water between
608 g/L and 1200 g/L. The "solutions" were checked visually for undissolved particles.
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
other: Estimation (visually)
Key result
Water solubility:
> 1 003 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
7
Details on results:
The test substance is considered to be very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
The water solubility of the test substance was estimated to >1003 g/L at 20 °C. The test substance is miscible at any concentration with water.

Conclusions:
The test substance is considered to be very soluble (> 10000 mg/L).
The water solubility of the test substance was estimated to >1003 g/L at 20 °C. The test substance is miscible at any concentration with water.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test substance was estimated to >1003 g/L at 20 °C. The test substance is miscible at any concentration with water. Due to the high water solubility of the test substance and the already attained precision the water solubility was only determined in a preliminary experiment and not by the full flask method.

Description of key information

Water Solubility (OECD 105, EU Method A.6.): The water solubility of the test substance was estimated to >1003 g/L at 20 °C. The test substance is miscible at any concentration with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
1 003 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The water solubility of the test substance was estimated to >1003 g/L at 20 °C.The test substance is miscible at any concentration with water. Due to the high water solubility of the test substance and the already attained precision the water solubility was only determined in a preliminary experiment and not by the full flask method.
