Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
>= 2.6 - ca. 7.2
Temp.:
25 °C
pH:
ca. 7
Details on results:
As expected, the test substance has several components with a log Pow between 2.6 to >7.2
Conclusions:
The log Pow values of the test item at pH 7 ranges between 2.6 and >7.2.

Executive summary:

The test material is a complex mixture of Soya and Linseed oil Fatty Acid-BADGE reaction product components and a high percentage of unreacted BADGE. As expected from the composition, the partition coefficient test shows a range of log Pow values.

The HPLC method at pH 7 was applied for the determination of the partition coefficient (Pow) of Soya/Linseed Oil Fatty Acid-BADGE reaction product.

The log Pow values of the test item at pH 7 for the peaks in the test items range between 2.6 and >7.2.

The main peak (BADGE at 80 area%) has a log Pow of 3.6. The log Pow of the components Soya and Linseed oil Fatty Acid-BADGE reaction product is in the range of 5.4 to >7.2.

Description of key information

log Pow = 3.6 (main peak, 80% peak)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
3.6
at the temperature of:
25 °C
