Description of key information

Stability

Hydrolysis

Waiver:

The study is not technically feasible and does not need to be conducted because the test item is highly insoluble in water.

Biodegradation

Biodegradation in water: Screening

Key Study:

The test item attained a maximum biodegradation value of 8% biodegradation over the study period and therefore cannot be considered to be readily biodegradable according to the criteria set forth in OECD Guideline No. 301B.

Transport and distribution

Adsorption / desorption

Waiver:

Due to poor UV absorbance and limited solubility in organic solvents and water and the fact that no chromatographic peaks were visable in the preliminary testing, suggesting that the test substance was being retained on the chromatographic column, the full absorbtion test was not technically feasible.
