First-aid measures

First-aid measures general: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible).

First-aid measures after inhalation: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice.

First-aid measures after skin contact: Remove affected clothing and wash all exposed skin area with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.

First-aid measures after eye contact: Immediately flush eyes thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.

First-aid measures after ingestion: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Call a poison center or a doctor if you feel unwell.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Foam. Dry powder. Carbon dioxide. sand.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use a heavy water stream.

Hazard: non combustible, no direct explosion hazard

Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire: Carbon oxides (CO, CO2)

Firefighting instructions: Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers. Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire.

Protection during firefighting: Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection.

Other measures: Prevent firefighting water from entering environment.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: evacuate unneccessary personnel and ventilate area

Environmental precautions: Do not allow into drains or water courses. Notify authorities if liquid enters sewers or public waters.

Methods for containment: Contain any spills with dikes or absorbents to prevent migration and entry into sewers or streams.

Methods for cleaning up: Soak up spills with inert solids, such as clay or diatomaceous earth as soon as possible. Small quantities of liquid spill: take up in non-combustible absorbent material and shovel into container for disposal.

Other information: Dispose in a safe manner in accordance with local/national regulations.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Concerning personal protective equipment to use, see item 8. Provide good ventilation in process area to prevent formation of vapour.

Hygiene measures: Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Always wash hands after handling the product.

Storage conditions: Keep only in the original container in a cool well ventilated place. Keep container closed when not in use.

Heat and ignition sources: Keep away from heat and direct sunlight.

Packaging materials: Unsuitable materials: carbon steel. Suitable material: Stainless steel, synthetic material.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Hand protection: Wear suitable gloves resistant to chemical penetration. Chemical resistant gloves (according to European standard NF EN 374 or equivalent). Choosing the proper glove is a decision that depends not only on the type of material, but also on other quality features, which differ for each manufacturer.

Eye protection: Wear suitable eye protection when handling the substance.

Skin and body protection: Wear suitable protective clothing

Respiratory protection: No special respiratory protection equipment is recommended under normal conditions of use with adequate ventilation

Stability and reactivity

Stable under normal conditions of use.

No dangerous reactions known.

Avoid extremely high or low temperatures. Keep out of direct sunlight.

Under normal conditions of storage and use, hazardous decomposition products should not be produced.

Disposal considerations

Dispose in a safe manner in accordance with local/national regulations.

Empty containers should be taken for recycle, recovery or waste in accordance with local regulation.

Avoid release to the environment.
