The study was be conducted according to an internationally recognised method, and under GLP. The substance is considered to be adequately characterised. However, no main test was conducted due to heavy reactions observed during the pre-test. Therefore no auto-ignition temperature was determined during the test and validation applies with restrictions.

*During the cleaning process after the ignition trial at 441.7 of the Pre-test a very big flame with a loud bang was observed. The upper part of the aperture started to burn. This also happened after the first detected ignition at 461 °C. Therefore, the test was stopped.

Conclusions:
This parameter/method is not relevant for classification, however the information is useful regarding potential additional fire hazard. No particular hazard is anticipated in normal conditions of storage.
Executive summary:

The study was conducted under GLP according to standard DIN 51794:2003 (listed in EU A.15 guideline).

Due to heavy reactions, observed during the Pre-test, the determination of the auto ignition temperature of the test item according to EU A.15 was stopped for safety reasons. Indeed, during the cleaning process after the ignition trial at 441.7 of the Pre-test a very big flame with a loud bang was observed. The upper part of the aperture started to burn. This also happened after the first detected ignition at 461 °C.

Finally  the auto-ignition temperature of the substance was not determined because no main test was conducted due to heavy reactions observed during the pre-test above 440°C.

However, considering the elevated temperature at which the reactions were observed, it is considered that no particular hazard is anticipated in normal conditions of storage.

Considering the substance as a liquid, the auto-ignition temperature (for liquids) of the test item was conducted.

Even if no auto-ignition temperature was determined, pre-test results showed that no particular hazard is anticipated in normal conditions of storage.
