Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The evaluation of toxicity to aquatic invertebrates of the substance has been based on studies conducted on the Similar Substance 01 and Similar Substance 02. The complete hypothesis and justification for the read across approach has been attached in section 13.

The Read across approach here discussed is based on the structural similarity of the two main components of target and source substances, on their similar composition and biodegradation potential, in order to fulfill eco-toxicological information requirements (short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates).

The determination on ecotoxicity of the substance was determined in an acute test on Daphnia, test according to the guideline 92/69/EEC C.2. The test has been performed in compliance with the Procedures and Principles of Good Laboratory Practice. The test substance was tested on Daphnia magna Straus 1820 for 48 hours.

20 daphnids (0-24 hours old) were exposed to nominal concentrations of 2.0, 4.4, 9.6,21,46 and 100 mg test substance respectively.

Results are:

EC 50 (48 h) calculated: 104 mg/l

95 % confidence limit: 88-153 mg/l

EC 50 (24 h) calculated: > 100 mg/l

NOEC (48 h): 46 mg/l

EC 0 (48 h): 46 mg/l

EC 100 (48h): > 100 mg/l
