Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Endpoint:
adsorption / desorption: screening
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the physicochemical properties of the substance indicate that it can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption
Cross-reference
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information
Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
January 15, 2004 - February 3, 2004
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with generally accepted scientific standards and described in sufficient detail
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Mixtures of the test substance in water were mixed for 5 days at 24 ± 1 °C, after which they were centrifuged and filtered. The concentration of Ba, Mg and Al was determined by ICP-AES.
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
other: measurement of saturated mixtures
Key result
Remarks on result:
other: The substance is insoluble in water.

- Undissolved test substance was present in all the solutions containing test substance after mixing for 5 days at 24 ± 1 °C, showing that the solutions were saturated.
