Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed

No supplementary information available.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed

Treatment: Treat according to symptoms (decontamination, vital functions), no known specific antidote.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media: Powder fire extinguisher, CO2 foaming fire extinguisher, foam, water spray, sand

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Direct water

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Carbon oxides

Advice for firefighters

Cool surrounding containers with water spray.

Firefighters should wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Untrained personnel should be removed to a safe place.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

For non-emergency personnel

Wear suitable protective equipment (e.g., safety gloves, hazard mask, protective glasses, air aspirator) to prevent any contamination of skin or eyes.

Remove ignition sources and provide sufficient ventilation to control exposure. In case of emergency, contact responsible personnel and consult an expert.

For emergency responders

Wear protective equipment (e.g., safety gloves, hazard mask, protective glasses and/or air aspirator).

Environmental precautions

Do not empty into drains. Retain and dispose of contaminated wash water.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

Vacuum or sweep up material and place into suitable disposal container.

Reference to other sections

Appropriate engineering controls:

Handle the product only under conditions where sufficient ventilation is provided and/or in a closed system.

Avoid accumulation of vapors by providing adequate ventilation during and after use.

Personal protection equipment:

Eye and face protection: Use equipment for protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or EN166 (EU).

Skin protection: Handle with gloves. Gloves must be inspected prior use. Use proper glove removal technique (without touching glove's outer surface) to avoid skin contact with this product. Dispose of contaminated gloves after use in accordance with applicable laws and good manufacturing practices. Wash and dry hands.

Respiratory protection: Respiratory protection is not required. Where protection from nuisance levels of dusts are desired, use type N95 (US) or type P1 (EN 143) dust masks. Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU).

Environmental exposure controls:

Avoid release large volume of the product to the environment.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity

Risk of explosion in contact with oxidizing agents, e.g., potassium permanganate and chromic anhydride. No hazardous reactivity if store in unopened original containers in a cool and well-ventilated place.

Chemical stability

Stable in unopened original containers in a cool and well-ventilated place. Protect from sunlight.

Possibility of hazardous reactions

No hazardous reactivity

Conditions of avoid

Heat, sparks, open flames, hot surfaces and direct sunlight

Incompatible materials

Strong oxidizing reagents

Hazardous decomposition products

Incomplete combustion results in formation of toxic gases, containing mainly carbon monoxide.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods

Remaining substance/product and its containers should be dealt with as such manner in accordance with national and/or local regulation.

Do not dump into sewers, on the ground or into any body of water.
