Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Physico-chemical properties of registered substance were determined from experimental testing, except water solubility, partition coefficient and vapour pressure that were derived from available data on constituents in a constituents approach. Some endpoints were waived, based on chemical structure of constituents or experience in handling and use of the substance.

The substance is a pale yellow liquid at ambient temperature.

It contains volatile constituents leading to a low flash point and the constituents are considered as insoluble to slightly soluble in water (0.000503 -1.41 mg/L). In water, it is less dense than water, so likely float.

It is not classified as hazardous with regard to some physical hazards (explosivity, oxidising properties, self-heating) and it is classified as a FLAMMABLE LIQUID CAT. 3 based on Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP regulation) and GHS criteria.

physical state)

The flash point of registered substance was determined to be 43.5°C  with a non-equilibrium closed cup flash point tester.

=> Classified as

FLAMMABLE LIQUID, Category 3 underRegulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP regulation) and UN Globally Harmonised System (GHS).

Note that the result obtained on this kind of substance should be largely influence by small amounts of volatile constituents and the result doesn't represent the major part of the substance.

Waived based on experience in handling, testing and use and chemical structure of known constituents of the substance.

NOT flammable if contact with air or water

Waived based on physical state (liquid)

NO self-heating substance anticipated.

Explosive properties

(data waiving, based on chemical structure)

Waived based on chemical structure of the known constituents of the substance andexperience in handling and use of this type of substance.

LOW potential for explosive properties

Oxidising properties

(data waiving, based on chemical structure)

Waived based on chemical structure of known constituents of the substance.

LOW potential for oxidizing properties.

Slight variations are possible with composition (UVCB substance).
