Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

- Storage condition: In refrigerator (2-8°C)
Key result
Parameter:
sensitiveness to impact: impact energy (J)
Value:
40
Remarks on result:
not sensitive to impact using an impact energy of 40 J
Key result
Parameter:
sensitiveness to friction: friction load (N)
Value:
360
Remarks on result:
not sensitive to friction using a friction load of 360 N
Key result
Parameter:
thermal sensitivity - Koenen test: diameter of the orifice plate
Number of fragments:
0
Remarks on result:
not thermal sensitive if heated under defined confinement

BAM Fallhammer

The sample of T 2632 was observed to exhibit no reaction at 40 J. The test result is therefore considered negative (according to the EC Classification, Packaging & Labelling of Dangerous Substances in the European Union Part 2, Testing Methods, Jan 97).

BAM Friction

The sample of T 2632 was observed to exhibit no reaction at 360 N. The test result is therefore considered negative (according to the EC Classification, Packaging & Labelling of Dangerous Substances in the European Union Part 2, Testing Methods, Jan 97).

Koenen Tube

In all cases the tube condition remained unchanged. The sample did not exhibit an explosion during any of the tests. The test result is therefore considered negative.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
Based on the results of the test method EC A.14 (BAM Fallhammer, BAM Friction and the Koenen Tube), the test item is determined to be not explosive.

Description of key information

Based on the results of a GLP study (Younis, 2018) according to the test method EC A.14 (BAM Fallhammer, BAM Friction and the Koenen Tube), the test item is determined to be not explosive.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the results of the test method EC A.14 (BAM Fallhammer, BAM Friction and the Koenen Tube), the test item is determined to be not explosive.
