Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusions:
The RD14153 material under test was analyzed per guidelines set forth in OECD 102. A first set of determinations was carried out by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), using a TA instruments DSC2010 Calorimeter. This revealed that the material did not melt entirely homogeneous as two thermal events were uncovered at respectively 396 and 399K. A second set of determinations was carried out using an Electrothermal IA 9000 capillary melting point apparatus. This last measurement provided a melting point that coincided with a first thermal event as determined by DCS at 396K.

Description of key information

Two sets of measurements were carried out for RD14153. The DSC data indicate two thermal events, one at 396K and another at 399K. The capillary measurement showed only one melting point at 396 K, which coincided with the first thermal event as determined by DSC.

Two sets of measurements were carried out for RD14156. The DSC data indicates one strong endothermal event at 396K. The capillary measurement showed a melting point at 394 K. The results are in agreement with each other in view of the estimated accuracy, and a melting point average is taken at 395K.
