EU Method A10, A12, A13

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

To determine the flammability of the substance EU Method A10 has been performed. In the determination of the burning rate, the flame extinguished by itself before reaching the reference mark of 200 mm.

Testing with EU Method A12 (emission of flammable gases in contact with water) and A13 (pyrophoric properties) was considered scientifically unjustified based on the chemical structure and experience in handling and use of the substance.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The burning time experimentally determined for the substance is >240 s.

According to the EC Regulation 1272/2008 and the EC-Commission directive 67/548/EC and the results obtained under the present test conditions, the substance is not classified as flammable.
