Description of key information

The range of flash points for the substance oligomerisation and alkylation reaction products of 2-phenylpropene and phenol (OAPP) (previous name phenol, methylstyrenated) begins at 158 and extends to 177 °C at 1013 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
158 °C

Additional information

Reliable studies (DIN 51758) were conducted to determine the flash point of the substance oligomerisation and alkylation reaction products of 2-phenylpropene and phenol (OAPP) (previous name phenol, methylstyrenated). Due to the nature of the product (UVCB), there is a range of flash points from 158 to 177 °C at 1013 hPa.
