During the main test the auto-ignition temperature of nopyl acetate was determined to be 250°C at 994 hPa.

Conclusions:
The auto ignition temperature of nopyl acetate was determined to be 250 °C at 994 hPa.
Executive summary:

The determination of the auto flammability was performed in accordance with EU Method A.15 and the Standard Test Method DIN 51794.

In the preliminary test, ignition was observed at around 260 °C at 994 hPa.

In the main test, the auto ignition temperature of nopyl acetate was determined to be 250 °C at 994 hPa.

Description of key information

The auto ignition temperature was determined according to the DIN 51794 standard method.
The auto ignition temperature of nopyl acetate is 250 °C at 994 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
250 °C

Additional information

Key study conducted according to EU Method A.15 and DIN 51794 standard method. The result is scientifically acceptable but not obtained under GLP. Therefore a reliability of 2 (reliable with restrictions) is assigned. The result can be used as key value for chemical safety assessment.
