Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Although there are no data available concerning the toxicity to terrestrial macroorganisms, the substance is considered with high probability not harmful to to terrestrial macroorganisms. Short-term and long-term toxicity studies are available in order to determine the toxicity to Eisenia fetida of one member of the category of derivatives of 4,4’-bis(1,3,5-triazinyl-2-yl)amino)stilbene-2,2’-disulfonic acid, each with one anilino and one alkyl amino moiety. The studies demonstrate that the substances belonging to the category are with a high probability not harmful to terrestrial macroorganisms.

EC 432-690-8: In a short-term toxicity study (14 d) of the test substance on Eisenia fetida, no toxic effects occurred at the test concentration of nominally 1000 mg/kg soil dw (Clariant 2004). In a long-term toxicity study of the test substance on Eisenia fetida, no toxic effects (mortality) occurred at the test concentration of nominally 1000 mg/L after 28 days and based on reproduction no toxic effect was observed at the test concentration of nominally 250 mg/kg soil dw (Goodband, T.J.; Mullee, D.M. 2008).Therefore, the test substance is considered not to be harmful to Eisenia fetida.
