Description of key information

D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, butyl glycoside has a low potential for adsorption to soil and sediment particles (log Koc -2.207 to 1.156).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No studies on adsorption/desorption are available for D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, butyl glycoside. Using KOCWIN v2.00, log Koc values of -2.207 to -0.654 (estimate from log Pow) and 1 to 1.156 (MCI method) were calculated using smiles notations, indicating a low adsorption potential of the test substance to soil and sediment particles.

Besides, the adsorption potential of the substance does not need to be tested as the substance is readily biodegradable.
