Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key result
Type:
relative density
Density:
ca. 0.97
Temp.:
20 °C

Five tests were performed resulting in densities of 0.970 g/mL, 0.970 g/mL, 0.970 g/mL, 0.969 g/mL and 0.969 g/mL.

The mean density of the sample was thus 970 kg/m³ (0.970 g/mL) at 20°C. The relative density of the test item was calculated from the quotient of its density at 20°C and the density of water at 4°C and was 0.970.
Conclusions:
The relative density of the test substance was determined to be 0.970 and the sample density equals 970 kg/m³ at 20.0°C.

Description of key information

Based on a GLP study (K1, Foster, 2016) according to the EU method A.3 and OECD guideline 109, the relative density of the test substance is ca. 0.970.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
0.97
