Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Testing is not technically feasible. Therefore, key values for bioconcentration factors and bioaccumulation factors were estimated with the BCFBAF v3.01 model.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Testing of the BCF was considered technically unfeasible for this UVCB substance. Because the water solubility of representative hydrocarbons of the UVCB substance differs, it might be difficult to maintain exposure concentrations during the BCF testing. The vapour pressure and biodegradation properties of the substance also indicated difficulties that may occur during BCF testing. Based on above facts, the BCF test (e.g. OECD 305) might not provide reliable results.

Therefore, bioconcentration factors and bioaccumulation factors were estimated with the BCFBAF v3.01 model. The estimated log BCF value for the ten most abundant individual structures of the substance ranged from 1.98 to 3.18. The estimated log BAF value for the ten most abundant individual structures of the substance ranged from 4.19 to 5.28.
