Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In the Klimisch 1 GLP study from Das (2001), the boiling point of ITTFEP (purity 98.5%) was determined under GLP according to OECD 103, EU A.2 and EPA OPPTS 830.7220. Due to thermal decomposition of the test item at a temperature lower than that of the boiling point it was not possible to determine the boiling point at normal pressure. The boiling point was taken from the report on the vapour pressure curve. The boiling point at 14.3 Pa is 50.3 °C.

At normal atmospheric pressure, the decomposition starts at about 246 °C. A weak oxidative decomposition started at about 197°C.

The obtained results are considered as relevant for the further assessment.
