Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
86 °C

Additional information

The at 25°C, the test material is a solid. Hence, formally the flash point is not a requirement for this substance. Since the test substance melts at about 40°C, the test was performed with liquid test material (>=36°C).

In the Klimisch 1 study from Angly (2000), the flash point of CTFEP (purity 91.4%) was determined under GLP according to EU A.9 and DIN EN 22719. The flash point was determined as 86°C. The identity of the impurities was not reported. Even if the impact of the impurities on the flash point is not known the obtained value is still considered to be used for the risk assessment.

The obtained results are considered as relevant for the further assessment.
