Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The hydrolysis rate was determined in a study according to guideline 40 CFR 158.130. There was no significant degradation of the test substance. The test substance is hydrolytically stable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The study was carried out to determine the hydrolysis rate as a function of pH. The study was conducted according to guideline 40 CFR 158.130. The test substance was added to three buffer solutions (pH 5, pH 7, pH 9) and incubated at 25±1°C in the dark for 33 days. A control of deionised water was also analysed. A colormetric procedure was used as method of analysis. The concentrations at the end of the test period were 99.9 % (pH 5), 98 % (pH 7), 97.5 % and 95.8 % (control). An accurate estimate of the half-life for the hydrolysis could not be determined since no significant degradation of the test compound was detected during the 33 day evaluation period. The test substance is hydrolytically stable.
