Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Daphnia Magna was exposed under static conditions for 48 h to six concentrations (0.63, 1.25, 2.5, 5, 10, and 20 mg/L). An EC50-value of 4.5 mg/L was observed.

Additional information

The toxicity towards aquatic invertebrates was performed in a study, conducted in accordance with EEC Methods for Determination of Ecotoxicity Annex to Directive 92/69/EEC, Part C which is in most parts equivalent to the OECD Guideline No. 202.

Daphnia magna was exposed to the test solutions of 6 nominal concentrations of the test substance and blank control solution for a period of 48 h under static conditions. Mobility and visible abnormalities were recorded at 24 and 48 h. The measured concentrations used to determine the EC-values confirmed that deviation from the nominal concentrations was less than 20 %. An EC50-value of 4.5 mg/L was obtained. The toxicity study is classified as acceptable and satisfies the guideline requirements for the acute Daphnia study.
