Description of key information

Short description of key information on bioaccumulation potential result:
The substance has a very low potential for bioaccumulation because of the log octanol water partition coefficient less than 3.
No information is available regarding absorption distribution, metabolism and excretion of the substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Bioaccumulation potential:
no bioaccumulation potential

Additional information

The substance has a very low potential for bioaccumulation because of the log octanol water partition coefficient less than 3. No information is available regarding absorption distribution, metabolism and excretion of the substance.

Discussion on bioaccumulation potential result:

The partition coefficient n-octanol/water of trans-N1,N1,N4,N4-tetrakis(2-hydroxyethyl)-1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxamide was determined in a GLP study according to OECD TG 107 (1995) and EC method A.8 (2008) with the shake flask method. The result was log Kow = -1.31 at pH 7.74 (unbuffered) and 20.6 °C. Hence the substance has a very low potential for bioaccumulation because of the log octanol water partition coefficient less than 3.

No information is available regarding absorption distribution, metabolism and excretion of the substance.
