Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Flammability (solids) = non flammable, EU Method A.10, Angly 2000
Flammability (pyrophoric properties) = study scientifically unjustified.
Flammability (contact with water) = study scientifically unjustified.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The flammability of the test material (burning characteristics) was assessed in accordance with standardised guideline EU Method A.10. Under the conditions of the test, the test material failed to ignite and so further tests were not performed. The test material is therefore not classified as highly flammable in relation to its burning characteristics. Meanwhile, flammability tests to investigate the pyrophoric properties of the test material, as well as its flammability in contact with water, were judged to be scientifically unjustified as based on chemical structure pyrophoric properties and water reactivity are not to be expected.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Regulation EC No. 1272/2008, the test material does not require classification as flammable as it failed to ignite during the burning characteristics tests and, based on chemical structure, pyrophoric properties and water reactivity are not to be expected.
