Description of key information

The water solubility of DVS005u was determined to be < 1.0 x 10-4 g/L at 20 ºC according to a study performed in line with GLP and to the standardised guidelines EU Method A.6 and OECD 105. The QSAR WSKOWWIN was used to predict the solubility of the test material components with the water solubility of all components predicted to be <8.2 x 10-13 g/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.1 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The key study (Walker and White, 2010) was conducted in line with GLP and standardised guidelines with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the study. The water solubility was determined using the flask method, using HPLC to analyse the concentration of the test material in each sample. The test material was determined to hydrolyse rapidly at pH 4, thus the water solubility’s of the individual components of the test material were predicted using the QSAR WSKOWWIN. The water solubility of the test material was determined to be <1.0 x 10-4 g/L which is interpreted as insoluble with the individual components all predicted to be highly insoluble. The study was performed to a good standard and was assigned a reliability score of 1 using the principles for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997).
