The test item was observed to undergo an endothermic event from 319.05 °C which based on observations during the test using the photocell detection test, was not an indication of melting. On completion of testing the sample had decomposed to a black solid. The sample had expanded during the test and had burst open the crucible.

Conclusions:
The substance decomposes before the melting temperature.

The melting point assessment was evaluated using the DSC method, according to the EU A.1 test guideline. An exothermic reaction was significant of a decomposition of the test item before melting.

No melting up to 300°C. Heating was continued up to 350°C, expansion of sample and slight discoloration was observed from 310°C.

The melting temperature of the substance was considered > 300°C.
