First-aid measures

General information: first aid personnel must be aware of own risk during rescue.Description of first aid measures:Inhalation: Move injured person into fresh air and keep person calm under observation. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.Skin contact: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get immediate medical attention. Chemical burns must be treated by a physician.Eye contact: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If easy to do, remove contactlenses. Get medical attention immediately. Continue to rinse.Ingestion: Immediately rinse mouth and drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, keep head low so that stomach content doesn't get into the lungs. Get medical attention immediately. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: Causes skin and eye burns.Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

General fire hazards: Will burn if involved in a fire.Extinguishing mediaSuitable extinguishing media: Foam. Carbon dioxide. Dry powder.Unsuitable extinguishing media: Water.Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: During fire, gases hazardous to health may be formed.Advice for firefightersSpecial protective equipment for firefighters: Selection of respiratory protection for firefighting: follow the general fire precautions indicated in the workplace. Self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire.Special fire fighting procedures: Use standard firefighting procedures and consider the hazards of other involved materials. Move container from fire area if it can be done without risk. Keep upwind.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency proceduresFor non-emergency personnel: Provide adequate ventilation. Do not touch damaged containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Wear necessary protective equipment. For emergency responders: Keep unnecessary personnel away.Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Absorb spillage with suitable absorbent material. Vermiculite, sawdust, sand. Collect in containers and seal securely. Large Spillages: Dike far ahead of liquid spill for later disposal.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Mechanical ventilation or local exhaust ventilation is required. Avoid inhalation of vapours and spray mist and contact with skin and eyes. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.Wash thoroughly after handling. Contaminated clothing and shoes must be discarded. Observe good industrial hygiene practices.Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in tightly closed original container in a dry and cool place. Protect from moisture. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame.Specific end use(s): Industrial chemical.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure controls:Provide adequate ventilation. Observe occupational exposure limits and minimise the risk of inhalation of vapours and mist. Provide easy access to water supply and eye wash facilities.Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment:General information: Use personal protective equipment as required. Personal protective equipment should be chosen according to the CEN standards and in discussion with the supplier of the personal protective equipment.Eye/face protection: Use safety goggles and face shield in case of splash risk.Skin protection:- Hand protection Wear appropriate chemical resistant gloves. Chloroprene rubber. Be aware that the liquid may penetrate the gloves. Frequent change is advisable. Suitable gloves can be recommended by the glove supplier.Glove information of a similar product (Karenz AOI ®, 2-isocyanatoethyl acrylate):- material thickness: 0.75 mm- break through time: > 480 min- Other Wear appropriate chemical resistant clothing. Chloroprene rubber.Respiratory protection: Wear suitable respiratory protection. Airline respirator is recommended.Thermal hazards: When material is heated, wear gloves to protect against thermal burns.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: Polymerizes when heated.Chemical stability: Material is stable under normal conditions.Possibility of hazardous reactions: Reacts with water.Conditions to avoid: High temperatures. Moisture.Incompatible materials: Alcohols. Amines. Water.Hazardous decomposition products: None known.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methodsResidual waste: Dispose of in accordance with local regulations. Avoid discharge into water courses or onto the ground. Disposal recommendations are based on material as supplied. Disposal must be in accordance with current applicable laws and regulations, and material characteristics at time of disposal.Contaminated packaging: Since emptied containers retain product residue, follow label warnings even after container is emptied.EU waste code: 08 05 01*Waste codes should be assigned by the user based on the application for which the product was used. The Waste code should be assigned in discussion between the user, the producer and the waste disposal company.
