Description of key information

No studies are available; however, aquatic bioaccumulation is not expected to occur.

Additional information

SFL is primarily composed of inorganic substances (the major constituent is calcium carbonate, along with silicon dioxide and a small amount of other inorganic salts) and the remainder is composed of organic plant material which is naturally present in the environment. Since many of the components of SFL are naturally occurring in the environment, aquatic species are likely to be exposed to these substances on a continual basis and hence their intracellular and extra-cellular concentrations are actively regulated. Bioaccumulation is therefore not expected.
